Responsible for offering extraordinary customer service and for supervising all department’s customer service employees and activities to manage a profitable department.

Summary of essential job functions

  • Immediately greet all customers and ensure extraordinary customer service.
  • Provide extraordinary service by responding to customer inquiries, fulfilling special requests via special orders or requesting transfers and effectively resolving complaints.
  • Educate employees to upsell merchandise or services to customers through education about products.
  • Monitor sales activities to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods.
  • Enforce all safety, health, and sanitation rules.
  • Perform all work activities of subordinates, including preparing and, serving food as well as cleaning.
  • Maintain records of purchases and promptly approve and submit invoices for payment.
  • Examine products purchased for resale or received for storage to assess the condition of each product or item.
  • Follow company policy to hire, train, evaluate, coach and discipline employees, consulting with Human Resources or Store Director.
  • Report inaccurate items in registers or on scales to category manager responsible for product in question.
  • Accurately code and sign all invoices and turn in to accounting on a daily basis.
  • Perform and manage monthly inventory and submit as instructed to Store Director on schedule.
  • Train workers in food preparation and in service, products, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Determine staffing requirements and timely prepare schedules within labor projections.\
  • Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure efficient service, cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Control inventories of food, beverage, equipment and smallware.
  • Analyze operational problems, such as theft and shrink, and establish procedures to alleviate these problems.
  • Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of case displays in conjunction with profitability.
  • Complete specials projects and other duties as assigned.
