ParaTransit Drivers
Transdev is seeking drivers to operate transit buses in the Hyattsville, MD area. Duties include but are not limited to:
* Ensuring the safe transportation of our passengers in all types of weather and traffic conditions according to schedule.
* Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
* Assisting ADA passengers as needed to enter and exit vehicle safely.
* Operating wheelchair lift with proper safety restraints as requested by the customer.
The ideal candidate must possess a valid Maryland, Virginia, or Washington D.C. driver's license, a high school diploma or GED, a minimum of 5 years previous driving experience preferred, previous customer service experience, experience working with persons with disabilities and/or senior citizen groups preferred, and a safe driving record and clean criminal history.
We offer FREE/PAID training. We also offer a competitive salary and benefits package. You must be able to pass a drug screen and physical and obtain a DOT card, and you must submit to a criminal and employment background check and fingerprinting.
