Overview:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Primarily responsible for providing support to machine operators in order to get customer jobs completed on time as well as basic hand assembly work.

Hours: 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm M-F

Responsibilities:

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrate consistent proper materials staging.
  • Responsive to management and other department lead directives.
  • Read and understand job ticket instructions.
  • Demonstrate consistency in observation of safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • All other duties as needed or required


Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education
  • 1+ year light manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Written and verbal English communication skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Able to stand for long periods of time; to stoop, to reach, to bend at the waist, to grasp, to move and/or carry up to 55 lbs
  • Able to report to work on time as scheduled as well as work overtime and/or alter work schedule if needed
    • For new hires, must meet all FedEx Office's employment qualifications in force at time of hiring, including successful passing of background check
    • For current FedEx Office's team members, must have received a Satisfactory or above on last performance appraisal


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods
  • Ability to move and lift 55 pounds
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to bend/twist at the waist and knees
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to function in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
