UnitedHealthcare Employer & Individual, part of the UnitedHealth Group family of companies, is looking for an experienced Health Analytics Consultant to join our dynamic team in South Florida serving the South Florida Key Accounts market. The Health Analytics Consultant provides consistent, effective, high-quality support to customer relationship owners as a critical enabler that positions UnitedHealth Group as a trusted advisor to its customers. This individual contributor role researches and investigates key business problems through quantitative analyses of utilization and healthcare costs data; they provide management with statistical findings and conclusions; they identify potential areas for medical cost improvements and alternative pricing strategies.


 


The location for this role is South Florida in the county areas of Dade, Broward or Palm Beach.


 


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Analyze and interpret various forms of utilization and healthcare data to identify potential areas for medical cost improvements via products and service.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to internal and external customers on healthcare cost and quality topics

  • Participate in customer meetings as a subject matter expert to present findings and recommendations to customers

  • Communicate information openly and in an articulate and professional manner
  • Create a clear, compelling assessment of root causes and actionable opportunities

  • Quantify value generated by previously implemented solutions

  • Negotiate complex situations and sensitive situations with a win-win attitude

Requirements


Required Qualifications:



  • 3+ years of experience in managed care

  • 2+ years of experience with data analysis, interpretation, synthesis

  • 2+ years of presentation experience conveying results and recommendations to internal/external customers

  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Excel

Assets:



  • Solid understanding of medical cost drivers and experience recommending medical cost improvement strategies

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS PowerPoint


  • Undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise
