Parts Clerk - Full-time / Part-time

Aerotek is currently hiring a Parts Clerk on a full-time contract to hire opportunity in the Lampasas, TX area. This candidate will be responsible for performing functions in stock control and accounting procedures; maintain stock accuracy of 98%

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Issues and receives repair parts, supplies, and equipment.
* Prepares and maintains stock records, including inventory, stock control, and accounting records.
* Identifies assemblies, subassemblies, and associate repair parts by using available publications.
* Reviews and monitors inventory levels.
* Compares purchase orders with shipping documents and merchandise to ensure accuracy, completeness, and serviceability.
* Prepares inventory reports; checks for accuracy by analyzing and investigating issues, receipts, and stock movements to resolve discrepancies.
* Prepares and maintains maintenance records, and inputs work order results.
* Perform technical editing by researching catalogs, manuals, publications, and parts lists.
* Visually inspects parts, supplies, and equipment for serviceability.
* Other duties & responsibilities assigned by Lead or Supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:
* 1 year of pervious experience in inventory, ordering, and accounting procedures.
* Ability to read and understand manuals, catalogs, publications, and parts lists.
* Computer, copier, and calculator literate.
* Must be forklift qualified or able to qualify within 1 month.
* Must be detail-oriented and pay attention to details.
* Good verbal and writing skills.
* Good math skills.
* Must be a self-starter.
* Experience with MP2 (preferred).
* Available to work flexible hours.
* Must possess a valid Texas Driver's license.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Environmental Conditions:
Repair and mechanical repair shop environment; exposure to fumes, odors, gasoline, solvents, cleaners, oils, and other related liquids; exposure to all weather when conducting field repairs, work on slippery or uneven surface; environment involves noise and work with moving objects and vehicles.
Physical Conditions:
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and also push or pull heavy objects. pulling, reaching, bending, climbing, and kneeling; use of fingers, both hands, and both legs required; must be able to operate assigned vehicle. Ability to communicate effectively using speaking, hearing, writing, and vision skills.
