Responsibilities

The Sales Operations Manager position will be responsible for leading and managing Operations functions within the Verizon Enterprise Solution’s (VES) Sales region.  The key strategic priorities are maximizing revenue growth for assigned segment through the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of sales, marketing and service programs and initiatives. The candidate will be instrumental in driving the Operational Readiness and Business initiatives to exceed objectives within the Sales Region. They must be able to identify process improvements in reporting, analytics, and performance metrics. They will develop and analyze programs and retention strategies for maximum customer satisfaction and retention. A successful candidate will support  the field sales team and will report to Director of Sales Operations.

Implement sales programs & initiatives to drive VES sales performance, utilizing all available marketing and sales capabilities to drive this objective. React to market opportunities and competitive changes, address sales performance weaknesses, and attack prospect and upsell/cross-sell opportunities through the implementation of targeted campaigns. Ensure sales engagement for all sales and marketing initiatives and lead sales enablement functions including sales incentives, enablement, and communications programs. Provide leadership to Global Sales Operations team, field marketing, sales support teams, SFDC team, training and other teams to develop the right tools and resources for flawless sales program execution.
 
Sales operations activities assist the Managing Channels and Client Executives/Client Partners to make sound and timely business decisions to drive short-term and long-term performance, to align selling resources with the greatest opportunities in the most cost effective ways, to ensure all sales personnel are treated fairly and are paid accurately, to improve sales performance through better processes, technology and methodologies. Ultimately, sales operations activities significantly contribute to the success of a sales organization and that organization's ability to meet/exceed business targets.
 
  • Ensures effective analysis of sales trends and performance in an effort to identify greater efficiencies
  • Ensures adherence to established departmental budgetary parameters
  • Develop an environment that ensures all sales teams are aligned to Verizon’s goals, objectives, and corporate values
  • Analyze sales data and implement processes to drive accurate 30-60-90 Day forecasting & funnel management
  • Develop and implement comprehensive SFDC funnel reporting tools tracking opportunities from lead generation to revenue realization, account development and retention
  • Efficient & effective Strategic Account Planning processes and measurements
  • Management of all Training programs, Initiatives and execution
  • Assist in facets of sales planning, inclusive of regular updates to headcount, programs and strategic sales plans
  • Specific duties will include field integration and training, issue resolution, process improvement, project management, and operational execution

Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) minimum; MBA preferred

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple highly complex cross-functional projects
  • Minimum of 7 -10 years sales experience with Enterprise or Mi-Tier Customers.  Bachelor's Degree in business-related discipline
  • Strong analytical skills with successful experience in securing and analyzing large volumes to data to make recommendations to achieve specific operational goals
  • Extensive computer skills including Microsoft suite and database management
  • Excellent project management, team leadership, interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of corporate business strategy, wireline/wireless technology, market and industry trends. Previous experience working directly with senior executives. Ability to work under pressure of tight timelines. Detail oriented. Travel required

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, in addition to strong analytical skills
  • Ability to interact at the most senior levels internal and external to Verizon
  • Ability to communicate knowledge and expertise to provide insight and direction to the business
  • Ability to coach, mentor and train others within Verizon and have the ability to educate key stakeholders on the benefits of a proposed approach
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and ensure cohesive efforts toward a shared goal
  • Presentation skills for executive level management, public groups, etc.
  • Self-motivated, resilient, can-do attitude to overcome obstacles and find resolution in sometimes difficult conditions
