Position: Entry Level Quality Control Lab Technician (Chemistry)
Industry: Paint & Chemical Manufacturing
Location: Columbus, OH
Pay: $15/hour
Start Date: Monday April 20th (4/20/15)
Shift/Hours: Must be open to work any shift (Once working, the shift will remain the same, but the specific shift you will work will be determined at a later date.)
Environment: Professional Paint Laboratory within a Manufacturing facility. Will wear lab coat, steel-toed boots, safety hat & goggles.

Education Requirements:
-Bachelor's Degree in Science-related field such as Chemistry, Biology, Zoology, etc. (Industry experience is NOT required for those candidates with Bachelors degree).
OR
-1 year minimum of industry experience performing chemistry tests in a laboratory environment (Degree is NOT required for those candidates with at least 1 year of experience in this field).

Additional Requirements:
-Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
-Must be able to work any shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
-Must be comfortable performing chemistry tests repetitively on various products.
-Must be able to utilize basic computer programs including Microsoft Word.
-Must have strong math skills and be able to perform basic calculations.
-Must have experience performing basic chemistry tests including pH and viscosity- This experience can be from education or industry.
-Must have a great attitude and demonstrate eagerness to learn and take initiative.

Job Description:
Entry level lab technician responsible for performing Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) testing on various paint and chemical products.
-Testing includes pH, viscosity, and other wet chemistry testing.
-Perform calculations including: Weight per Gallon, Percent Solid, & Resin Composites
-Tint batches independently (will be trained prior)
-Maintain and perform calibrations on lab equipment.
-Utilize web-based computer system to prepare Quality Control (QC) records for submission.
-Ensure compliance to all specifications and maintan all records accurately.
