Job Title:
Housekeeping Aide
I. Position Summary:
Performs cleaning functions in various areas of the hospital. Maintains these areas in a clean and orderly fashion in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures and foremost to provide an environment conducive to patient recovery.
II. Position Requirements:
A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: None:
B. Education: High School or GED preferred.
C. Experience: Not required.
D. Special qualifications: Requires operation of mechanical equipment such as buffers and vacuums. Visual acuity to detail cleanliness. Reasoning ability, as employees must use self-judgment in changing sequence of areas cleaned to meet needs of unit or area.
III. Degree of Supervision Required: Involves general guidance and direction by Supervisors/Managers. The employee will be expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
