About this job

Assesses patients for educational, physiological, psychosocial, comfort and safety needs. Plans and coordinates care. Performs treatments, procedures, and administers medication within State practice guidelines. Follows up with other associates, other departments, physician, and others as necessary. Participates in departmental quality improvement programs by identifying, collecting, analyzing and documenting the results.

Requires completion from accredited Registered Nurse program of nursing. Must maintain current State of Idaho Registered Nurse license, AHA CPR for Healthcare Providers certification, ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy provider status preferred within 1 year of hire or transfer to department, and complete hospital mandatory education assignments by deadlines assigned.

Has frequent interaction with physicians, nursing staff, other departments, patients and their families. Must have the sensitivity, maturity, and ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
