About this job

The Expressive Therapist performs a thorough evaluation of patients assigned to him/her, develops and implements care plans to meet each patient’s needs, provides patient and staff education and follow policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies. Independently manages his/her own caseload, provides services as part of an interdisciplinary team and plans implements and evaluates patient programs. Follows policies and procedures of West Florida Hospital. Participates in the Quality Improvement process and adheres to WFH standards of behavior.

PRN - $22.00/hour

EDUCATION:

A degree in Recreational, Art, or Music Therapy, or Exercise Physiology required. Current Certification from a National Certification Body preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Experience not required but preferred.

SKILLS/ABILITIES: Excellent organizational, critical thinking and verbal/written communication skills are required. Ability to be detail-oriented and to multi-task required. Basic computer skills are required. Ability to obtain Certification from National Council of Therapeutic Recreation within one (1) year of employment is required.
