About this job

This position is responsible for pre-admission, admission, and on going assessment related to patient condition, history, physician referral, and/or plan of care. Responsibilities include direct physical therapy intervention, based on the interdisciplinary treatment plan and established priorities, for performance issues including, but not limited to:

Fine / gross motor delays/disorders, sensory integrative disorders, neuro-developmental disorders, visual-motor/perceptual disorders, motor planning / coordination disorders, developmental delay/disorders, strength and range of motion/joint mobility, traumatic brain injury, functional independence tasks, cranio-facial therapy/myofascial release, lymphedema, integration of central and peripheral nervous systems; cardiopulmonary endurance and function, assists in selection and fitting of wheelchairs and other DME, planning successful and effective co-treatments with ST/OT, developing home programs, and completing family training, as needed, related to, or impacted by injury, illness, or developmental difficulty.

Must be a graduate of an accredited physical therapy educational program. Individual shall be certified by APTA as a Physical therapist and hold a current Idaho State license as a physical therapist. Must maintain the standards of the professional and ethical practice in the provision of the full scope of Physical therapy services. Must have and maintain a current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification. Has frequent interaction with physicians, nursing staff, other departments, patients and their families. Must have the sensitivity, maturity, and ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Physical Therapists with Rehab as primary work area must maintain a valid ID Drivers License.
