Transporter - PRN (Operating Room Orderly) - Req # 25625
The operating room orderly helps with cleaning the operating rooms between cases by bagging and managing garbage and linen, mopping floors, wiping off tables, beds and equipment, and replacing and organizing equipment used. The orderly is also responsible for replenishing supplies used for operating room procedures on the supply carts, anesthesia carts, sub-sterile rooms, above the scrub sinks and the dressing room corridor. The orderly keeps the blanked warmers and fluids warmers supplied. Helps in restocking center core and in washing, wrapping, and re-sterilizing equipment, instruments or towels used during the procedure or by anesthesia. Transports patients to and from the operating room as needed and transports patient beds to the operating room. Is a courier for specimens, equipment and instrumentation. Helps in the operating room, PACU and Same Day Surgery as needed.
Requires High School diploma, current BLS or willing to certify. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to understand limitations of position and knowledge of and referral to resources available
