Registered Nurse (RN) – Employee Health
Founded more than 125 years ago by German physicians, Research Medical Center is a 490-bed facility and has become one of the crown jewels in the HCA Midwest Health System. Located in the heart of Kansas City, Research Medical Center is among the only tertiary care centers serving Kansas City proper. Research Medical Center has completed more than $120 million in capital improvements, including new lobby and admitting areas, renovated and expanded Cancer Center and Women’s Care Unit, construction of all private patient rooms and doubling the Emergency Department.
Research Medical Center is currently looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) – Employee Health .
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include immunization programs for employers, all aspects of employee worker’s compensation and education, follow up and prevention of disease that effect the employee population.
Evaluates and assists in the evaluation of health services for employees within the hospital system.
Establishes a system of records and reports. Provides for health counseling and education on an individual or group basis.
Works in conjunction with HCA and Insurance provider in the following of Worker’s Compensation cases. Meets all federal and state guidelines as related to employees. Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing (RN)
Licensed to practice professional nursing in Missouri.
Understanding of Missouri worker’s compensation regulations, basic knowledge of infectious disease concepts, and ability to do statisticas calculations.
BCLS certification required.
Skilled in written and verbal communication.
At least five years hospital nursing experience with management responsibility.
Experience in Missouri worker’s compensation, public health helpful, personal computer experience required.
At least 1 year of mangagement experience
Ability to work with spreadsheets and Microsoft Word
Ability to work with various levels of employees; Good organizational and communication skills
