The  Agile Scrum Master will be responsible for facilitating one or more scrum teams to support the delivery of strategic technology products. This position requires individuals who are not only experienced as a Scrum Master, but have extensive track records of delivering high quality systems and products. Applicants should have a strong understanding of and hands-on experience with Agile Methods, especially Scrum. Applicants will also be responsible for the coaching of their teams on scrum practices to ensure benefit from and adherence to core agile

principles is achieved.

 

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Act as Scrum master for 1-5 scrum teams with a focus on guiding the teams towards improving the way they work.

  • Facilitate sprint planning, retrospective and sprint demos

  • Assist the product owner with keeping the backlog groomed

  • Ensure cross-team coordination

  • Maintain relevant metrics that help the team see how they are doing

  • Coach and mentor other scrum masters in our product team. Ensure that our ways of working are consistent across the teams.

  • Act as a liaison to assigned project manager. Take responsibility for managing dependencies between our team and third parties, release managers, or between our team and other scrum teams.

  • Actively contribute to the company's Agile and Lean Community through participation in the internal Agile Community of Practice

This position can be located in Plymouth, MN; Raleigh, NC; or Franklin, TN.

Requirements


Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree or HS diploma/GED with 4+ years experience additional IT work experience

  • 5+ years of IT experience

  • 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master

  • Experience with Rally

  • Understanding of basic fundamentals of iterative development

  • Understand basic fundamentals of software development processes and procedures

  • Understanding of backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as a Scrum Master working on large scale, multiple Scrum team projects
  • Experience acting as a Scrum Master for multiple scrum teams
