Operations Manager - Construction

Local Fort Collins Company is hiring for a manager for overall planning, coordination and project execution of the company’s jobs. This will include lead management, insurance
company communications, job scheduling, work orders, vendor communications,
subcontractor coordination, customer support and assisting with account collection. This is a
key position reporting to the company President. The position requires that you be detail
oriented, organized, and efficient and process oriented. Using computing technologies to help
efficiently accomplish the duties of the Operations Department is critical and will be
increasingly important to enable the company's efficient growth. The ability to multi task and
wear several hats is important.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Job Managers to ensure all job requirements are detailed and a plan built for
execution
• Ensure all details on contract(s) are tracked including job progression
* Place Work orders for materials and labor
• Create and disseminate project schedules
• Maintain project checklist and change order log to ensure quality and completion of project(s)
• Coordinate with vendors, insurance and property owners/managers regarding job status
• Promote cooperation, communication and coordination between the job site and staff
* Invoice final job having understanding of all adjustments
• Coordinate roof warranty tracking and workmanship warranty
• Complete other tasks/duties as they are assigned by the leadership team relating to jobs

Requirements:


    • A demonstrated understanding of roofing practices, techniques, codes and regulations is required.
    • Excellent personal/customer service skills.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills with both technical and nontechnical audiences.
    • Analytical thinker
    • Mathematically inclined.
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, analyze all data and draw conclusions.
    • Strong understanding of property insurance practices and roofing claims.
    • Work effectively with teams in a high paced, stressful environment, while working under tight deadlines.
    • Strong understanding of finance & accounting particularly with regards to job cost accounting & profitability.
    • Bachelor’s Degre
    • es (BS) in Construction Management, Engineering, and Business Administration
    • 5 to 10 years of experience in residential and/or commercial roofing.

  • Experience working with insurance claims. Apple product (Mac, iPhone/iPad) experience required.
  • Experience with cloud based applications such as Google Docs is required.
  • Desirable experience with Acculynx, Xactimate, QuickBooks, Eagleview, Clearview, HailSwath or equivalent.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
