Job Description

Aerotek's premier client has an open position in the medical device and pharmaceutical industry.

Our client designs, develops, manufactures and installs automated water feeding systems for animal testing facilities nationwide. When a new pharmaceutical drug is being developed, leading scientists test these drugs on animals. At these testing facilities are patented water systems making sure the animals have water when needed. Their products include water purification systems, vivarium management software and hardware, and preventive maintenance service.

The Service Technician will be responsible for installing and troubleshooting the product at the customer site. You will be responsible for all issues related to the software and hardware as well as the mechanical components of the system.

This is a position where you will be on your feet for most of the day in state of the art medical research facilities and universities.

There is an immediate project in Atlanta for a few weeks. After that, the Technician will work roughly 15% of the time in and around the Atlanta area and the other 85% of the time will be spent traveling to domestic customer locations for up to a week at a time. You will be reimbursed weekly for food, lodging and travel expenses. When traveling you are responsible for booking your own hotel room and rental car and then you are reimbursed the following week

You will be fully trained on the client's specific products over the first few months.

Required Qualifications:
- 1+ year recent experience traveling over 50% of the time for job
- 2+ years of recent working experience in a mechanical or electrical system installation role
- 2+ years reading blueprints and schematics
- 2+ years interfacing with customers
- Reliable transportation
