About this job

Our graphic artists help bring our stores to life through their artistic abilities and their eye for design. They are responsible for developing marketing collateral and merchandising display support that drives store sales while delighting our customers. These artists develop printed materials through the use of Adobe Creative Suite, and can execute handwritten, illustrated chalkboards on our sales floors. They must be creative, yet process-driven individuals who can adhere to standards while meeting a large number of creative needs for their store.

Essential Duties:

  • Create marketing collateral and other marketing materials as needed in support of store objectives
  • Illustrate chalkboards for display in departments and specified merchandising displays
  • Maintain and produce signage for all departments
  • Maintain visual accuracy and consistency for all departments
  • Understand and adhere to Lucky’s Markets graphic standards
  • Perform routine store walks to ensure quality and appearance of marketing materials
  • Work closely with all departments to provide creative support for sales initiatives
  • Maintain working knowledge and application of all merchandising expectations within the department
  • Develop seasonal décor/materials in line with Lucky’s Market brand to enhance customer experience
  • Develop strong process and procedures for development of quality, and timely marketing materials
  • Train other Team Members as needed on sign making tools and protocol 

Requirements:

  • Strong hand lettering, illustration and graphic design skills
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Working knowledge of the Macintosh computer operating system
  • Good problem solving skills, and ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication and spelling skills
  • Ability to deliver information in a clear and respectable manner
  • Ability to complete all tasks in a thorough and timely manner, while maintaining quality
  • Available for flexible scheduling – including nights - to meet the needs of the store

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • The potential for prolonged standing, walking, squatting and/or bending
  • The ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Occasional high stress when dealing with systems/customers/staff
