Shelton Taylor & Associates is seeking an experienced Interior Designer with strong CAD skills for producing and overseeing implementation and coordination for design documentation throughout all phases of the design process and construction administration.Must have a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in managing client expectations
* Coordinate with all disciplines throughout entire project timeline including architecture, landscape architecture, engineers, developers and contractors
* Collaborate on multifamily commercial interiors projects, including conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documentation and administration
* Provide project team coordination for finish plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction
* Work with consultants, product reps, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives
* Possess thorough knowledge of codes
Skills & Experience
Qualifications:
* 3-5+ years of experience as a commercial interior designer and/or CAD Designer
* Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from a CIDA accredited school or architecture degree
* Strong knowledge of the design process, including FF&E, and construction materials
* Strong skills in AutoCAD Architecture
* Flexibility to focus and multitask with concurrent projects in various stages of development
* Ability to work well with a team
* Ability to communicate design ideas and direction thoroughly
* Strong leadership, organization, client relationship and communication skills
* Registered Interior Designer a plus
* NCIDQ Certified a plus
