What will I be doing?

A Lobby Greeter with Hilton Hotels & Resorts is responsible for greeting guests in the lobby and provides a variety of types of assistance to guests during their stays. Specifically, you would be responsible for the following:

Greet customers with a friendly and sincere welcome and hands out Flowers and Oshibori for guest convenience and refreshement. At which time share with the guest, the tradition and/or culture significance of both the flowers and Oshibori’s. Offer water and fruits to the guest in the main lobby. Use a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to understand requests, respond with appropriate action and provide information such as directions, activities, resort information, luggage procedures upon check-in and check-out, book restaurant reservations and make arrangement for transportation.

Repelenish water and fruit in the lobby containers provided for guests. Fold and re-stock oshibori and maintain and refresh loose orchids that is offered to the guests.

Maintains appearance of hotel lobby, removes trash, organizes furniture, etc.

Retrieve daily arrival manifest to confirm VIP’s in order to greet them at the airport, lei greet and escort them to the hotel.

Respond to inquiries regarding lost luggage, guest services and airline information.

Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency and/or heavy hotel activity and check-in.

What are we looking for?

EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum six months Customer service experience required. Prior hospitality experience preferred.

GROOMING

All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Ability to effectively deal with the internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.

Ability to stand and move throughout the Lobby and continuously perform essential job functions.

Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.

Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
