Job Description

PPG is currently seeking Production Workers for our Reno, NV facility. The position involves working in a coatings plant, performing various jobs to support the production of coatings products. The current openings are on 2nd shift.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
· Lifting and carrying materials
· Operation of industrial powered equipment
· Running or monitoring equipment
· Inspecting, testing, packing, shipping or general utility
· This position may manage hazardous waste as part of their daily activities

Compensation & Benefits

Starting pay for Production Employees is $14.00/hour with potential to progress to $ 15.50- $16.25/hour depending on the position. Full benefits are offered from the first day of employment.

PPG has recently completed the acquisition of the AkzoNobel North American Architectural Coatings business. This acquisition provides our newly combined Trade organization a tremendous platform for profitable growth. This acquisition enables us to now operate in 800 retail stores, sell through over 4,000 dealer stores and supply product to large home improvement retailers, such as Lowe's and Home Depot. This acquisition also brings a portfolio of well established brands to PPG such as Glidden, Glidden Professional, Ralph Lauren Paint, Devoe Coatings and Martha Stewart Living paints; Flood, Sikkens and Synteko woodcare products; plus Liquid Nails adhesives and caulks.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Three to five years production manufacturing experience.
  • Able to work 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift and overtime including, some weekends.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Authorized to work permanently in the United States.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds.
