About this job
Providing a highly visible uniformed law enforcement presence at Horizon Medical Center, with an emphasis on the emergency department, for the purpose of deterring and preventing criminal behavior.
Ensure the safety and well-being of patients, employees, physicians, and visitors and the Horizon property
Be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with employees, physicians and customers
Use interpersonal communication skills while assisting patients, visitors, and employees
Attend all mandatory in-service training
Participate in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement
Maintain cultural and diversity awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and all other customers
Promote a supportive, team-work oriented environment
Fulfill departmental responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision and values of Horizon
Must be a Police Officer or Sheriff’s Deputy with a favorable background check and negative drug and TB test.
