The Senior Project Manager will lead the development, oversight and day-to-day management of the Propel framework and work with the team to guide product developers, stakeholders and approvers through the Propel framework supporting product development and release. The position is expected to analyze the business needs, consult with product teams and review potential solutions within the framework of product development. The position connects the right parties to work on, analyze and complete the required steps and assists in timely movement through the phases towards market launch. The duties can include facilitating resolution of issues causing barriers to progress or success. 


 


The scope of the product development framework includes new and enhanced products that are customer-facing and sold across all markets. The objective of the process is to provide a standardized, rigorous methodology and facilitation to support developers of new products (service, capability, and package) as they ready these products for operations and sales in the market.


 


The Senior Project Manager will support and drive initiatives that require the development of new processes and procedures prior to full-scale launch of new and significant Propel services and capabilities. The position will also be required to manage the Propel pipeline of projects in conjunction with the Propel team, which includes but is not limited to: risk assessment and reporting, proper escalation of pipeline issues, timely assignment of new Propel projects and evaluating resource capacity.


 


Senior Project Manager will also be responsible for governance processes in conjunction with product teams and impacted stakeholders across the enterprise which includes responsibility to facilitate approval meetings and provide metrics and measures to leadership. The position will be responsible for the maintenance of the framework, contact lists, navigation guides and other support tools. This position requires: the ability to exert influence without authority, creativity, ability to build relationships across a matrixed organization, practical knowledge of methods of business analysis, familiarity with product development and knowledge of or ability to learn business and industry. Incumbent must be highly organized, a problem-solver and have the ability to turn insights into actions.


 


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Lead the development, oversight and management of the Propel framework. Analyze business needs and create a management, compliance and reporting framework in support of product development. Lead the day-to-day management of the framework. Coach and mentor team members in product development lifecycle and provide compliance and performance adherence expertise to the team. Represent the team in readiness meetings and presentations to senior leadership

  • Support and drive initiatives requiring development of new processes and procedures of new and significant Propel services and capabilities. Manage the Propel pipeline of projects in conjunction with the Propel team, which includes but is not limited to: risk assessment and reporting, proper escalation of pipeline issues, timely assignment of new Propel projects and evaluating resource capacity. Facilitate, support and provide expertise to partners using the product development process. Lead the governance processes in conjunction with Propel and product teams and impacted stakeholders across the enterprise. Facilitate approval meetings and provide metrics and measures to leadership. Build strong working relationships with partners using the Propel framework as well as others who may be needed to facilitate work as it pertains to product development and infrastructure

  • Maintain the Propel framework, contact lists, navigation guides and other support tools. Oversee required documentation and data required to maintain and socialize product development process including dashboard metrics, reporting and communications. Lead and execute Propel projects as needed to improve and grow the development process. Provide insight into continuous improvements needed for development process

  • Anticipate customer needs and proactively develop solutions to meet them

  • Serve as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues

  • Solve complex problems and develop innovative solutions

  • Perform complex conceptual analyses

  • Review work performed by others and provides recommendations for improvement

  • Provide explanations and information to others on the most complex issues

  • Motivate, coach and inspire other team members

  • Is a positive contributor to team dynamics and performance

 



 

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • College graduate or equivalent demonstrated work experience

  • 7+ years work experience in a highly regulated field with compliance activities such as healthcare, financial services, business analysis, or project management

  • Experience facilitating cross-functional meetings and influencing action towards completion of process or project objectives

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence without authority

  • Demonstrated ability to translate client and market needs into successful new offerings

  • Exhibits strong understanding of business strategies, the "big picture" of the industry and the objectives of company

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Consultative experience

  • PMP Certification
