General Responsibilities:

Job Summary:

The objective of the Manager City Operations II role is to increase market share, control fleet, meet and exceed its profitability targets, reach customer service goals, and develop staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

Inspire staff members to reach for high goals, encourage open discussion of ideas for improving the Region’s performance, and challenge staff members to develop to their potential.

Create an ‘Ownership’ Culture with a Focus on Sales and Customer Service. Challenge, Encourage and Develop Employees Maintain Effective Employee Staffing Achieve Fleet Utilization and Depreciation Goals Understand and Use Operating Statements Effectively. Manage Required Administrative Tasks, Controls and Reports. Meet/Exceed established revenue goals. Resolve customer issues and ensuring a positive customer service experience. Demonstrate ability to work in ambiguity and solve problems independently. Remain current on all administrative duties according to company policy. Participate in the recruiting process by conducting interviews as required. Conduct monthly meetings with location managers. Give specific performance feedback to each employee on an semi annual and annual basis. Role model leadership skills. Adhere to company policy and procedure.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION :

Bachelor’s Degree EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record Must be able to work flexible shifts including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

Must be computer literate with strong keyboarding skills Knowledgeable in rental car procedures and location operations EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

3+ years of management experience in rental car industry. SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Complex problem solving skills; proven ability to solve problems independently Must have excellent multi-tasking and verbal/written communication skills Ability to manage, develop and motivate staff
