As an IT professional you have expert knowledge in one or more programming languages or databases. Because of your excellent understanding of the entire project life cycle, you have the ability to direct project teams in the gathering, design, and development of complex applications/programs. You get to work closely with and learn from the brightest minds to ensure proper system design. Your role ensures highest quality implementations from design through quality insurance to production. You anticipate hardware and software design needs to take pre-emptive action. Our IT professionals support multiple team members and other project leads in day-to-day activities related to project work.

Serves as the conduit between the customer community and the software development team via clearly documented functional, system and process requirements. Works with clients to obtain requirements through interviews, document analysis, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, workflow analysis and use cases. Evaluates the information from those multiple sources to develop an understanding of the client's business requests and needs and translates them into application and operational requirements. Will develop test plans, execute test plans as needed. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to lead a project or group.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -

Experience with both ERP (preferably Mincron) and custom development environments.
5 years BA, AS/400, Excel, Word, HP Quality Center.
Should be able to work independently and work well with team.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -

Develop detail Business or Systems requirements for approved complex projects and enhancements to existing large-scale projects. Conduct interviews and requirements gathering workshops. Ensure sign-off of all artifacts.

Develop requirements trace-ability matrix, which is charted and documented through each phase of the project life-cycle. Develop System Requirement Specification (SRS) or Systems External Specifications.

Interface with Business Stakeholders and IT Infrastructure teams.

Assist with identifying and estimating the cost of projects that are submitted through the strategic planning process.

May provide expert guidance and direction to Business Analyst.

No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the technical leadership of a project work team: may select team members and assess capabilities, provide technical training, provide information necessary to meet work, project or program objectives, evaluate program or project performance.


ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Essential Skills:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -

Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must pass the Drug Test.
Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses.

EDUCATION REQUIRED -

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
