This position is needed to ensure The Home Depot's stores, distribution centers and other remote locations operate at an optimal level by providing comprehensive IT rollout management and technical support for all Home Depot stores and distribution centers located in the U.S. and Canada.

The IT Director is the single point of contact and accountability for all IT services provided to an entire business portfolio. The Director is responsible for business satisfaction with all IT services and support.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -

Ensure business-IT strategic alignment

Manage business relationships and monitor status of business

Manage and coordinate strategic activities for staff

Develop IT plans in support of specific business objectives

Define requirements and design for IT projects in support of key business objectives

Manage IT customer service issues for business unit

NATURE AND SCOPE -

Typically reports to Sr. Director Information Technology

Accountable for the management of a department or functional group through subordinate supervisors/managers and for all personnel issues -- including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications-

EDUCATION REQUIRED -
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 15

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS -
Over 3 years experience in a director or Sr. leadership capacity

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -
• Requires 10+ years of experience as a proven leader in financial responsibility of large programs
• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• Previous retail experience desired.
• Vendor management experience desired.
• Must have experience leading and managing transition.
• Must demonstrate strategic thinking skills and maturity in tackling complex problems, dealing with both technical & human process.
• Requires a proven track record in leading under tight timelines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and two-way communications (oral and written), ability to build relationships, influence others, and obtain results through others.
• Ability to engineer large scale rollouts that are delivered on time and within budget.
• Must be able to effectively influence and communicate to Sr. IT and Business Management in setting strategy, priorities and increased value of Rollout Engineering.
• Proven track record of strategic leadership, organizational transformation.
• Ability to motivate and mentor others.
• Solid understanding of Budget and Cost Control Management.
• Demonstrates a high level of energy, results driven and able to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
• Experienced leading major Process & Efficiency Improvement.
*Experience with construction projects/timelines
Position located in Austin or Atlanta. 20 Years IT Experience in a variety of roles, 15 Years Experience leading large Programs across a variety of technologies. Understands the entire SDLC for Agile, Waterfall and SAP ASAP. Large Program Financial Management experience. 3rd party Labor especially with offshore partners. Ideally experience in Retail Application systems in a plus. Ideally experience in IT infrastructure is also a plus. Demonstrates knowledge in IT Governance and SOX Controls.
Advanced Degree Preferred, MS a plus
