Sr. Technical Security Manager

Experis is seeking a Sr. Technical Security Manager that would have recent program-level management or consulting experience in Information Security Governance, Risk and Compliance (with responsibilities for areas such as policy and program design, security control design, program and process implementation, control assessment, testing and audit, technology controls and standards, business continuity and controls required for regulatory compliance), for a full time perm position within our internal Information and Cyber Security Practice. Experience within key technical solutions (e.g., Mobile Devices, Identity Access Management and Cloud) from a security perspective highly desirable. Some consulting experience in commercial industries required. Similar experience with government security programs and compliance is a plus.

Work is remote based. No relocation required.

Senior Technical Manager
The role of the Senior Technical Manager is to act as a leader in the Experis Information and Cyber Security Practice by providing thought leadership, marketing and sales support, and the development and deployment of solutions that safeguard client businesses and the information assets created, processed, transmitted, stored, managed or disposed of by client organizations. The scope of this role primarily involves information security programs, security technology processes and controls, and the identification of key security initiatives and standards that impact the adoption or evolution of technologies and information protection control measures used by our clients.

Specific duties include support of the Information and Cyber Security Practice marketing and sales efforts; development and enhancement of functional service offerings (e.g awareness and training; infrastructure security controls (e.g., network security, mobile device security solutions, identity access management); incident handly and enterprise security compliance).

The individual will lead other team members in the delivery of client engagements, programs or projects to meet management and business objectives of Experis and the Information and Cyber Security Practice. This includes assisting in Practice program management by establishing clearly defined initiatives for the achievement of the duties of this role, and providing appropriate documentation, including project goals, objectives, scope, approach, execution plans, and resource requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage and be an individual contributor for security engagements for multiple clients
  • Conduct security gap assessments for clients with GLBA, HIPAA, PCI, NIST, ISO, and other compliance criteria and develop client-specific remediation plans to address identified gaps
  • Provide technical sales expertise and subject-matter-expertise to supplement the sales force

Participate in IT/Information Cyber security engagements that may encompass the following:

  • Provide technical thought leadership in the security configuration of applications, systems and networks and security aspects of key technologies (e.g., cloud security, mobile device security, identity access and management)
  • Develop, refine, or modify client security policies and standards as necessary to implement adequate security controls for different client risk environments
  • Conduct research, develop and defend positions, and document findings in white papers that will stand up to regulatory scrutiny on all aspects of information protection
  • Participate in after-action incident response reviews to assist clients in the assessment of root causes and selecting and/or implementing corrective/preventive measures
  • Create and maintain a risk-based integrated security roadmap that defines a defensible evolution of information security technology and practices over time
  • Evaluate emerging threat reports, research solutions, and modify standards, configuration procedures, and recommend preventative measures to help clients appropriately eliminate, mitigate, transfer or accept the level of risk posed by the threats

Experience Required:

  • Advanced degree or a bachelor degree and equivalent work experience required
  • Ten or more years of information security experience.
  • Minimum five years information security consulting experience with private sector clients
  • Must possess superior oral and written communication and interpersonal relations skills.
  • Past experience in creating proposal and statement of work information security content
  • Experience providing solutions for various regulatory environments, including an understanding of the information security requirements defined by GLBA, SOX, FFIEC, HIPAA, and NIST
  • Must possess professional consulting, analysis, and solution design skills
  • Demonstrated competency in project management and delivery involving both technical and business groups
  • Ability to clearly articulate and communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences, including system interfaces, dependencies, migration strategies and cost
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, demonstrate initiative, and an ability to be a proactive team player
  • Demonstrated competency conducting and reporting risk assessments using criteria relevant to client organizations
  • Proven skills in complex problem diagnosis and creative problem solving
  • Demonstrated track record of staying abreast of changes in technology and the information security threat environment
  • Broad knowledge in applying various information security architecture standards and broad knowledge of multiple information technology standards.

  • Compensation and Benefits
  • An annual base salary paid on a bi-weekly basis
  • Eligible for 6 18%% annual bonus (effective 1/1 of the year following hire, and payable March of the following year and every March thereafter) based on the Information Security Practice and Experis achieving or exceeding defined targets.

OpenStack Sr. Technical Manager - Remote/50% travel
Summary:
The Sr. Technical Manager (STM) provides infrastructure and systems subject matter expertise within their specialized areas of expertise. These areas of expertise will be aligned with the Infrastructure and Data Solutions practice (IDS) focus, and the current and future infrastructure market needs to support Project Solutions and project inititiatives. The STM has two primary responsibilites for providing the required level of support. The first is to establish a virtual bench team of qualified technical resources, working in concert with the practice delivery arm, and account management teams to fully support all efforts within the STM designated areas of expertise. The second is to architect and provide technical oversight for a successful deleviery for new or existing clients. This includes custom and new solution developmemt for first time services as well as the replication of successful solutions for additional clients. The STM works closely with account management and practice delivery teams to achieve Experis goal of providing greater value to our clients and value added delivery .
In addition, the STM will be assigned responsibility for the growth of IDS services within a limited number of accounts strategicly targeted by IDS for growth.
