The Marine Corps Base Quantico (MCBQ) is a high profile account with many visits from dignitaries of the US. Government and other countries. MCBQ has a business model that involves employees from both Sodexo and its sub-partner. This individual must have a high level of production knowledge and be able to develop staff in order to to meet the standards and financial requirements of running a high profile unit.

High profile account located in the heart of Marine Corp Base Quantico. Position SummaryDesigns, supervises, coordinates and participates in activities of cooks and other kitchen personnel in the account. This position is recognized as the technical expert, teacher and trainer for the production staff within the account. Implements and trains HACCP, oversees/purchases food, establishes production levels and inventory controls, interviews and hires new cooks, manages/controls food cost issues and offer solutions. Typically has cooks reporting to this position. Typical Knowledge and Skills of HACCP, equipment safety. Position SummaryResponsible for managing food service areas in a single unit. May assume GM's responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/HR functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Typical Knowledge and SkillsRequires some experience in a management role in food service/contract management. Typically reports to General Manager. Receives some coaching/counseling from immediate supervisor, but has more autonomy. and opportunity for independent decision making.

Position Summary

Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of food production employees. Responsible for the purchasing and receiving of food and supplies, as well as monitoring the inventory. Maintains food production records/cost indicators. Plans and costs menus.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree

Basic Management Experience - 1 year

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
