3M is seeking Production Workers for the Industrial Business Group located in Conover, NC. Ready to be part of what's next?
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Participate in all safety and regulatory training needed to fulfill the duties of the position
- Ensure packaging supplies per schedule using Bill of Materials
- Inspect and package finished product per work instruction
- Enter roll numbers into computer system, print and distribute labels
- Ensure correct label is placed on proper pallet, box or roll
- Label and process full pallets per work instructions
- Maintain accurate records of rolls and pallets
- Maintain quality product in processing between inspection, final packaging, and shipping
- Understands 5S system, maintain clean assigned work area and fill out daily housekeeping sheets
- Operate manual and electric pallet jacks
- Operate overhead roll hoist; fill out hoist check sheet daily
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or designate
- Follow all safety rules and JHA’s, wear proper PPE, safety shoes, safety glasses and hearing protection
- Train other employees on packaging procedures
- Know and follow all work instructions
- Code and place nonconforming product in designated areas
- Package and label overrun material as required
This position will require:
- Working overtime
- Weekend work
- Working on holidays as needed
- Short notice call in
- Working 8 to 12 hour shifts
- Working a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, depending on shift availability
Basic Qualifications:
- Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher
- Minimum three (3) months of manufacturing experience
Location: Conover, NC
Relocation: Is not authorized
