Job Summary:
The Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting in various financial activities including data gathering, analysis, trending, modeling, forecasting, planning, and reporting for the Financial Planning and Analysis team. The incumbent will collect data from multiple sources across the organization and use their quantitative and analytical skillset to create actionable intelligence out of the data. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for presenting and communicating their analyses to the company’s leadership team on a frequent basis.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare accurate and timely financial and business related analyses, research, and forecasts including financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital and investments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the organization to drive cost efficiencies and business performance improvement.
• Assist and/or lead the financial modeling effort related to ad hoc projects as needed.
• Use Excel and PowerPoint on a daily basis to prepare and communicate financial results and analyses.
• Report on business operations in an accurate, meaningful and timely manner.
• Compile and prepare accurate and timely reports, graphs and charts of data developed; provide insights into the performance of the business.
• Own moderate processes and/or portions of complex processes.
• Participate in special financial and business related studies as needed to support project objectives.
• Partner with Internal Controls to ensure full compliance with internal, external, legal and regulatory standards and requirements; ensure effective control procedures are in place and fully functioning to preclude improprieties from occurring
• Conduct ongoing assessments of procedures to better understand and identify future needs and challenges.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in MS-Excel
• Minimum of 3 years of experience creating and maintaining complex financial models in MS-Excel

Preferred Qualifications:
• Intermediate PeopleSoft Financials proficiency
• Experience owning and contributing to processes and/or portions of processes
• Experience in statistical modeling
• Knowledgeable of accepted accounting principles (FASB & GAAP)
• Knowledgeable of modern financial theory
• Bachelor of Science degree in Finance or Accounting
• Experience with multi-dimensional databases
• Experience with Hyperion Essbase
• Experience with Hyperion Financial Management
• Advanced skills in MS-Excel
• Advanced skills in MS-PowerPoint

• Strong consultative, analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal/communication and presentation skills
• Detail oriented, strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
• Cross-functional collaboration skills
