Our client, a leader in the manufacturing induatry, is looking for a qualified Planner to join their growing team.
This Planner is responsible for managing the inventory and flow of work for assigned area(s). The role will forecast and obtain required materials and plan work necessary for assigned areas to support the master production schedule and customer deliveries. Duties include purchasing and production scheduling.
The Primary Responsibilities of the Planner are as follows:
*Develops and maintains a working knowledge of the company's products and processes
*Convert MRP requirements to purchase orders and job packets.
*Generate Purchase Orders to Qualified approved BVR Suppliers
*Manage open Purchase Orders for on-time deliveries per commitment.
*Create and manage Manufacturing Orders to meet customer deliveries.
*Expedite materials to meet customer requirements
*Execute delivery pull-ins, push-outs or cancellations per MRP requirements.
*Resolve price discrepancies and accounting issues with Suppliers.
*Lead effort to resolve quality issues of purchased items. Coordinate return of material to Supplier if appropriate.
*Review and maintain planned scheduling and inventory parameters, such as lead times, lot sizes, safety stocks, delivery times, forecasts and order file data.
*ECN implementation
*Provide data for Key Performance Metrics (Schedule Compliance, Time Fence Violations, Inventory Turns, Work in Process Inventory Turnover, Projected Inventory Risk/Stock Loss).
*Develop, maintain, and report key purchasing metrics including delivery, cost, inventory, and quality performance. Expedite materials through receipt and inspection to manufacturing.
*Delivers strong and thorough presentations on identified business issues and recommended resolutions to immediate management.
*Monitors and expedites open orders.
*Identify opportunities for inventory reduction and actively support implementation as directed.
*Supports efforts to ensure data integrity of inventory, BOM's and Routings ensuring that the job packets released to manufacturing are accurate and complete
*Manage and monitor production orders from creation to closure and ensure orders are closed in a timely manner
*Inform management when demand cannot be met and recommend alternatives on how the requested demand could be satisfied.

A qualified Planner will have previous experience in Planning with MRP.
