Staffmark is currently hiring for a SR. QA Analyst to join a great team at our client's office located in Dallas, TX.

SUMMARY

Help develop and establish quality assurance standards and measures for our client's organization. Will gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

Develop and establish, and enforce quality assurance measures and testing standards for new applications, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout their development/product lifecycles.

Develop and write test plans and scripts for tracing defects and fixes in product development, software application development, information systems and operations systems.

Perform the analysis of formal test results in order to Client and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.

Create and communicate test plans and scripts that will determine optimal application performance according to specifications; revise as needed.

Develop change control processes, practices, and guidelines for new and existing applications.

Perform testing of new software to ensure integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and technical specifications.

Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to Management

Communicate with all levels of internal personnel, both verbally and in writing.

Read, comprehend, interpret, and analyze moderately complex job-related documents and financial records.

Develop and maintain good working relationships.

Determine when issues need to be escalated to a higher level.

Work independently.

Work in and promote cooperation in a team environment.

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Logical, efficient, keen attention to detail, highly self-motivated and self-directed.

Occasional long, irregular hours.

Help mentor other junior members of the quality assurance team.

Physical requirements include sitting, frequently speaking and hearing, and occasionally standing, walking, bending, crawling, kneeling and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and a minimum of four (4) years job-related experience with at least three (3) years' experience as a QA Analyst for large applications.

Strong knowledge of system testing metrics, best practices and methodologies.

At least five (5) years testing in an SDLC environment including at four (4) years creating test plans and test cases.

Hand-on experience with ad hoc query programs especially SQL scripting.

Two (2) years testing using Quick Test Pro and Quick Test Pro Scripting (VB Scripting)

Three (3) years' experience in a web environment and establishing SLAs with client organizations.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook and Visio.

Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws

Must have experience as a Sr Analyst leading projects. This person will not be a Lead over resources, but will be responsible for Leading project efforts and mentoring other team members.

Experience working with HR, Benefits and/or Payroll applications highly desired

Any experience with Automation Testing would be a plus.
