City of Industry, CA - Macy's Logistics: Senior Maintenance Electrician Mechanic, Full Time - Full-time

Job Overview:

Overall Purpose of Position: Responsible for general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, conveyors, maintaining building electrical, plumbing, and support equipment including material handling equipment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain building support systems
• Troubleshoot electronic/electrical components, including high voltage (3 phase 480 volt equipment)
• Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and lighting installations inside and outside facility
• Fabricate and construct assorted project-related equipment
• Perform maintenance and repair of lift trucks
• Perform maintenance and repair of all HVAC equipment, including computer room
• Strict adherence to and leadership in all safety policies and procedures
• Operation and repair of all landscaping equipment

Requirements:

• Strong electrical experience with 480 volt 3 phase
• Certification in electrical, mechanical, or structural systems
• Knowledge of blueprints and schematics
• xperience in building support systems, emphasis on materials handling/storage systems, and basic functions of building equipment
• Willing to operate truck equipment

Systems/Technology:

• Experience with PLCs and any other computer-related Material Handling Systems desirable

Qualifications:

Education/Experience

• High school or GED
• Training beyond high school level in general maintenance and repair
• One/two years experience in a general maintenance or experience in an industrial maintenance field performing similar duties.

Reasoning Ability

• Understand and interpret mechanical, electrical and plumbing schematics/drawings.
• Ability to inspect, operate and maintain the heating, cooling and ventilation system and boiler system. Skill in maintaining and repairing security hardware.
• Knowledge of occupations hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties.

Systems/Technology:

• Experience with PLC's and any other computer related Material Handling Systems desirable
