The Recruiting Manager is responsible for leading the senior level recruitment within the Information Technology function. This highly skilled recruiting leadership position entails day-to-day management of recruiters to include allocation of workload, assisting in the development of sourcing strategies that support UnitedHealth Group's strategic goals, troubleshooting day to day issues associated with aging requisitions and challenging situations/managers. Recruiting Manager will act as a coach and mentor to the senior team related to the quality/consistency of the work product, adherence to our Talent Acquisition Service Level Agreement, as well as all other performance management related to department/functional metrics.


 


Primary Responsibilities:




  • Manage senior recruiting team including setting performance objectives, monitoring service level expectations, and maintaining cost-effective delivery of service


  • Work with the functional Senior Director of Recruitment to develop annual/quarterly forecasted functional plans, including opportunistic/top grading hiring initiatives


  • Work on a daily basis managing senior recruiter workload


  • Maintain in depth knowledge of functional strategic objectives (may participate with functional Director of Recruitment in their development)


  • Work closely with Senior Functional Recruiting Director on setting functional priorities and team expectations


  • Demonstrate and manage best practices related to requisition intake/discovery and strategic launch of sourcing strategies for senior level requisitions


  • Provide leadership through coaching, training, advice and counsel to senior recruiters and line leadership team on day-to-day issues relating to the execution of their respective recruiting workload and needs


  • Manage senior functional aging requisitions by analyzing reporting and troubleshooting solutions; proactively report issues and solutions to Senior Functional Recruiting Director (segment and functional)


  • Responsible for building functional capability and for developing and maintaining a high performance culture


  • Manage monthly functional metrics and work with Senior Functional Recruiting Director related to quarterly metric trends


  • Coordinate and manage the delivery of recruiting programs/manage large-scale senior functional recruitment projects as applicable


  • Perform direct recruitment for senior level positions, as appropriate

Requirements

Required Qualifications:




  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience; BS/ BA degree in Business, Human Resources or related field


  • 7+ years of recruitment experience


  • 2+ years of prior IT Recruiting supervisory/managerial experience


  • 3+ years of senior level/executive recruitment experience


  • Knowledge of best-in-class recruiting techniques as well as employment law practices


  • Ability to work with Senior Management and to develop strong relationships


  • Ability to manage performance expectations


  • Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communications and demonstrated ability to deliver information in presentation format


  • Demonstrated experience in handling Executive compensation and negotiation of offers


  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at one time


  • Demonstrated ability to act as a continuous learner, understanding complex business strategies and recommending appropriate recruitment solutions


  • Knowledge of AAP needs within function


  • Demonstrated project management experience handling large scale hiring initiatives

  • PHR, SPHR, CPC certifications
