The Compliance
Analyst position serves to support the Marketing materials and Member Communications review process specific to the Medicare Advantage and
Prescription Drug programs. The
Compliance Analyst will serve multiple federally regulated products and be a
part of the UnitedHealthcare Compliance Program.
The position
in this function analyzes Marketing materials and Member communication
materials to ensure compliance with the CMS Medicare Marketing Guidelines and
other applicable regulatory requirements.
Monitors changes to marketing and related laws and regulations to ensure
compliance with Federal laws, regulations and mandates. Provides explanations
and interpretations within areas of expertise as it pertains to the CMS Medicare
Marketing Guidelines and/or other applicable guidance. Conducts regulatory research and monitor
changes to requirements to mitigate risks and achieve compliance.
Primary Responsibilities:
Works collaboratively with other areas to ensure compliance of marketing
materials by identifying issues and escalating to the appropriate areas to help
resolve issues.Support regulatory filing processes and procedures, including but not
limited to submission of health plan marketing materials and member
communication materials to CMS for review and approval.Solves moderately complex problems and/or
conducts moderately complex analyses of marketing materials currently in use
(e.g. Website, TV, Direct Mail) to ensure compliance.Provides explanations and information to others
on difficult issues as it pertains to the CMS Medicare Marketing Guidelines and/or
other applicable guidance.Assesses, interprets and identifies internal
customer / business partner needs for clarification and education on CMS
requirements related to marketing materials and fulfillment compliance.Coaches, provides feedback, and guides others to
help ensure compliance of marketing materials and other applicable compliance
programs.Translates regulatory concepts into actionable
compliance recommendations for business partners across a broad scope of
business units and functional areas involved in materials and fulfillment
business functions.Support monitoring and auditing procedures as
appropriate to assess the level of compliance with key regulatory requirements,
including but not limited to conducting internal compliance monitoring reviews
of plan marketing materials and member communication materials.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of experience working in a Government or Healthcare
environment with experience in Compliance. - 2+ years of experience working in a Government or Healthcare
environment with experience in Compliance. - 2+ years experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Experience developing relationships with Regulatory Agencies.
- Experience with CMS Marketing guidelines or other Regulatory Government guidelines.
- Experience Analyzing and Reviewing Marketing copy.
- Reporting experience.
- Compliance Monitoring or Auditor experience.
