Certified Montessori Teacher - Full-time / Part-time

Tutor Time in Lake Zurich is hiring a certified Montessori Teacher for our Montessori classroom at our childcare center on 759 South Rand Road!

As Montessori Teacher, you will truly experience first hand the growth and development of your student’s knowledge and skill level. Your integral role in this process is one that sets the basis for their future successes. We understand the importance of a caring, attentive, and qualified Montessori educator who will teach and guide in a nurturing environment.

Some of the exciting things that you will do as a Montessori Teacher include, but are not limited to:

• Make a difference every day!
• Be accountable for the delivery of an authentic Montessori program.
• Supervise the classroom, helping the children to think creatively, to solve problems independently and respect themselves and others.
• Spark imagination, build self-esteem and help children discover new things each day.
• Guide children in self-motivated learning, helping stimulate their natural desire to learn.
• Be responsible for ensuring an educational, caring and safe environment for the children.
• Be responsible for reporting challenges, successes and competencies of each student to the Director or to parents on a regular basis.
• Effective communication skills and strong organizational skills are essential qualities for this position, as teachers must be able to interact well with parents and management in a traditional early child care setting.

• 1 year experience working in a licensed childcare facility
• Must have Bachelor's degree, AMS/AMI or a MACTE accredited training certificate
• Previous Montessori experience
• Impeccable references and a proven track record of caring and nurturing children to provide them with a great start to their educational careers
• Flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work
• Must be at least 18 years of age
