As a Manager, Business Intelligence Reporting you will manage a team responsible for creating reporting solutions.  You will meet frequently with business owners to discuss reporting needs and effectively communicate technical solutions at a business level.  This team will provide analytical services and solutions to the organization's decision-making process and corporate performance management. You will be responsible for developing and implementing solutions using organizational data warehouse, data marts, and operational data stores. You will consult with business users regarding the use and management of data.  You will manage the design, maintenance, and completion of highly visible organizational projects and mentor the team in creating efficient reporting solutions. You will design, run and maintain a library of reports to support operational departments regarding medical costs, utilization, provider performance and patient outcomes. 


 


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Lead data warehouse initiative with key business stakeholders by gathering and documenting key business definitions, measures, and standards

  • Facilitate front-end data warehouse tool discussions with business units and design layout of key reports/dashboards based on business input

  • IT project owner of key data and reporting initiatives such as Physician Incentive Program and Monarch Intranet

  • Develop, maintain and support Business Intelligence (BI) activities within Microsoft Reporting Services (MSRS) environment

  • Perform analysis of data sources and processes to ensure data integrity, completeness and accuracy

  • Identify and facilitate implementation of improvement opportunities

  • Work independently and collaboratively with end users to assist in defining strategic solutions that solve business issues and enhance corporate performance

  • Facilitate requirements gathering from non-technical business personnel and suggest efficient reporting solutions based on requirements

  • Document business requirements in the form of specifications (business and technical specifications)

  • Work independently and provide appropriate recommendations for optimal analysis and development

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Finance, Healthcare Administration or other related field

  • 5+ years of hands on experience with MS SQL Server, including Reporting Services, SSIS and stored procedures 

  • 3+ years of data warehouse experience  

  • 3+ years of experience with BI concepts and tools such as Microsoft Analysis Services, Tableau, or other BI front end tool

  • 3+ years of experience formally managing technical employees, including primary responsibility for performance reviews, making hiring decisions and other direct management duties

  • 2+ years of experience in the healthcare industry

  • 5+ years of SQL programming experience

  • 5+ years of experience in report writing and report development using Microsoft Reporting Services

  • Experience delivering effective presentations to all levels of management and employees

  • Experience deploying reporting solutions in a Sharepoint environment

  • Advanced ability using Microsoft Excel as a front-end reporting tool

 


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Strong analytical, communication and documentation skills

  • Experience in a large medical group setting

  • Ability to work with and calculate mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

  • Professional communication skills
