Primary Responsibilities:



  • Lead requirements gathering, analysis, design and QA activities

  • Develop detailed design specifications including service models and message schemas

  • Develop detailed source- to- target data mapping and data transformation rules

  • Analyze/interpret enterprise data models

  • Act as the liaison between Business and Systems Analysts, Developers, project management personnel and end users

  • Translate complex concepts for a variety of audiences.

  • Serve as a knowledge resource for SA and developer teammates, and leader/ mentor to fellow SAs

  • Educate client about technical data requirements; be prepared to answer questions in the moment, fully understand and explain impacts of invalid or missing data in detail in order to explain impacts to client.

  • Organize sort and filter data in order to distinguish patterns and recognize trends with the ability to explain trends, patterns and impacts to client technical resources

  • Define, use and communicate design patterns and best practices in service oriented analysis, design and development

  • Develop strategies to improve service development life cycle and governance processes

  • Plan and manage assignments of varying scope

  • Resource to senior leadership

  • Develop pioneering approaches to emerging industry trends

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of System Analysis/Development experience

  • 5+ years combined experience between healthcare systems support and health data analysis/reporting

  • 5+ years of Relational Database experience; including hands on experience composing SQL queries, or using user query tools such as Cognos Report Studio/Impromptu, Sagent Information Studio, TOAD  

  • 5+ years of writing system requirements and specification documents

  • Proficiency with MS Office Including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

  • Knowledge of the Software/System Development Life Cycle

  • Experience working with test plans and test cases

  • Ability to work multiple analysis/development assignments concurrently

  • Ability to work directly and independently with end users

  • Ability to work effectively with fellow team members and users remotely

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Proficiency with MS Access, MS Project, MS Visio

  • 5+ years combined experience working with UHC-UHG or UHC acquisition systems or data warehouses

  • 5+ years combined experience working with claims, provider, and membership data

  • Working knowledge of provider contracting and network management operations

  • 2+ years experience supporting data conversion or migration projects

  • 1+ year experience supporting regulatory compliance reporting requirements

  • Experience facilitating requirements gathering or Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions
