About this job

The Catering Coordinator will work within operations of a single restaurant, preparing food selections, executing catering orders and providing great experiences to all catering clients on a daily basis.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 1 year of restaurant operations experience, preferably in catering
  • Some sales experience is a plus
  • Exhibit a high level of professionalism, with excellent communication, oral and written skill
  • Exceptional and organization skills and attention to detail
  • Must be driven, self-motivated, and dedicated to increasing profit
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bending and lifting are required
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to guest satisfaction
  • Provide a valid Driver's License and favorable driving record
  • Provide proof of automobile insurance
  • Knowledge of the delivery area is required
  • Ability to read a map and locate addresses
  • Reliable cell phone is required
  • Must be 18 years of age

Key duties/responsibilities of Catering coordinator include but, are not limited to the following:

  • Delivery of catering orders in your vehicle or company vehicle when available.(company delivery vehicle only available is limited markets) 
  • Confirm and prioritize catering orders to ensure that all items are prepared accurately and on a timely basis
  • Work with Sales Manager  and Catering Director to build awareness and new catering
  • Understand all catering menu items offered and accurately answer questions about menu items in regard to preparation method, ingredients, portion size, and side items
  • Work in conjunction with Manager on Duty to organize and execute delivery schedule for daily catering orders
  • Conduct confirmation calls with catering customers the day of delivery
  • Conduct follow up phone calls weekly to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Assist in generating in-store catering sales through suggestive selling, table touches, register interaction,  distributing catering marketing materials, calling on local businesses  via phone, e-mail, mailings, canvassing and networking
  • Prepare sandwiches, salads, drink and side dishes in a safe, secure, legal, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation and quality of food preparation and service standards and procedures; conforming to regulations.
  • Creates and utilizes on ongoing prospect list, in order to ensure incremental growth
  • Identify current and future customer service requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating and resolving catering complaints about food quality and/or service.
  • Accomplish catering services sales goals by accepting ownership.
  • Maintains daily, well- documented sales information, resulting in superior account service and increased revenues.
  • Promptly follows up on all customer calls and requests in an efficient and expedient manner
  • Works closely with other members of the operation and marketing team to create new approaches to increasing Sales.
  • Provide above average customer service and product to local businesses, schools and community organizations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Required frequently: standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching, ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
