Job Description:

The primary duty of the Medical Services Attendant (MSA) involves playing a key role in a Telemedicine Kiosk patient experience. In many cases, the MSA is the first connection patients have to the kiosk and to tele-health care. As the in-person element of the Telemedicine Kiosk experience, this position is the bridge between traditional healthcare and the future of innovative telehealth delivery.

The MSA also has hands on approach with assisting patients throughout the Telemedicine Kiosk experience including vital signs capture, as well as ensuring a comfortable, sanitary experience. The MSA is required to become a certified Telemedicine Kiosk Attendant.

The secondary role of the MSA role is to increase customer satisfaction, loyalty and utilization of all health and clinical services by effectively promoting the services provided by the Health Care Team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Greet each patient as the ambassador for telemedicine and the provider network Facilitate patient check in and insurance validation Facilitate vital sign process Assist with other medical device operation as requested by the patient and/or provider Provide printouts at the conclusion of the visit Complete station sanitization after each visit (changing device disposables, disinfecting with wipes and UVC light) Perform community outreach activities to heighten awareness of telemedicine services Introduce patients to the health care team and provide support for the health care team as they guide patients in selecting and making decisions on products related to their health & wellbeing Organize, promote, and facilitate health & wellness events Support, embrace and implement new initiatives to support health and wellness trends

Experience / Requirements:

The following qualities are required:

Minimum age of 18 years old for business travel thru use of personal vehicle or public transportation. Ability to pass drug test. Committed to providing customer service that makes both internal and external customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated. Ability to effectively promote services. Ability to preserve confidentiality of information. Ability and willingness to move with purpose and a strong sense of urgency. Ability to work weekends on a regular basis. Ability to work extended days on an occasional basis. Ability to work day or evening hours. Accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/projects. Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes. Ability to work within strict time frames and resolute deadlines. Typing speed of 40 WPM. Proficiency with the Microsoft ® Office Suite (Word and Internet Explorer).

Education:

To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus one year experience in healthcare industry.

Medical certification coursework from an accredited institution is preferred

Sales and marketing training and/or experience is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
