Responsibilities

 

This position is accountable for the maintenance of the owned or leased Retail facilities within the region.  The selected candidate will be responsible for providing and coordinating facilities related issues and services. These services include but are not limited to the following: HVAC, Electrical, Security, Signage, Permits, and Store building and re-modeling. Specific Responsibilities include: ·Maintain Retail facilities to ensure professional look for our customers, while also providing an adequate/safe workspace for our employees, Ability to manage emergency situations 24/7 which include onsite vendor management and timely resolution. Responsible for janitorial staff selection & consistenantly maintaining the bldg to high standards 2. ·Utilize the Northeast Area Facilities Trouble Tickets System ( Facility Center ) to receive and close out orders, identify needed changes in vendors, and make improvements in the levels of service being provided. ·Seek out and enact cost saving measures that produce reduction in costs and or materials. ·With the assistance of Area HQ, assist in the design and specify materials for new, relocated and renovated facilities in accordance with the store requirements, corporate guidelines, state and local codes. ·Competitively bid, negotiate, select and evaluate performance of vendors supplying general contracting, repairs, security, furniture, fixtures, signage, etc. · Work with construction manager throughout store build to ensure all base building are covered for future maintenance needs. Oversee move-in coordination for new, relocated and renovated facilities. ·Coordinate with property managers on their maintenance responsibilities per our lease agreements. ·Perform safety, security and facilities audit checklist of stores by physically traveling to each location on a regular rotation. ·Assist Northeast Area Facilities team in the compilation of various requested data. ·Process all vendor invoices via company guidelines to assure timely payments. ·Coordinate with Facilities Department the reallocation of furniture and equipment between facilities. ·Responsible for a Verizon Wireless vehicle. ·Responsible for small repairs, moving of boxes, small furniture, equipment etc.

 

 

Qualifications

 

Candidate Qualifications: ·3+ years Facilities'/Construction experience (i.e. minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry etc.). Proven track record of independent trouble shooting/problem solving as it relates to bldg maintenance (ex: HVAC, Roofing, Plumbing Flooring, Electrical etc.) Heavy past vendor management experience (ie; facilities/construction/janitorial) ·Familiarity with Retail  facilities ·Valid Driver's License Excellent communication skills ·Well developed organizational and time-management skills ·Knowledge of Microsoft Office package including Access and Project ·Project Management experience ·Ability to supervise contractors and vendors ·Ability to lift 45 - 65 pounds Preferred: ·College Degree ·Technical/Associates Degree ·Construction knowledge ·AutoCAD experience Other Remarks: ·Must supply own tools if required ·Night, weekend and overnight travel as required by project schedule throughout the Northeast Area
