Quality Engineer - Full-time / Part-time

QUALITY ENGINEER

Our ISO 9001 certified manufacturing client in Oshkosh, WI is looking for a Quality Engineer to oversee the company's entire Quality Management System. About 80% of the role involves continuous improvement, and the remaining portion of the role involves resolving any customer quality issues. This person will spend a majority of the time working on the production floor. This company will consider Direct Hire for strong candidates.

Job Responsibilities Include:

* maintaining the ISO 9001 registration
* planning quality activities for new projects
* ensuring products meet customer requirements and expectations by performing continuous quality improvements and preventative actions
* working with suppliers on PPAP's, CAR's, 8D's and Root Cause Analysis
* performing and reviewing 1st piece inspections using a CMM and other measuring devices, to ensure new product quality meets customer expectations
* auditing shop process and working closely with supervisors and associates to diagnose issues and provide corrective action

Hours: 1st shift (hours are somewhat flexible, but will be at least 40 hours per week)

Pay: $60,000 to $70,000/year based on experience

Qualified Candidates Must Have:

* a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
* a minimum of 3 years experience in Quality with responsibility of the company's Quality System
* computer skills in Microsoft office and CAD
* experience with PPAP, CAR's, Root Cause Analysis
* a strong understanding of APQP, FMEAs IMDS, PRR and Control Plans
* strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* knowledge in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiences (DOE)
* preferring candidates that have experience in sheet metal stamping and/or working with OEM customers
