Cashier Job Description
SUMMARY
The cashier is responsible for greeting all customers, explaining the menu, and taking orders.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ensure all customers are greeted in the appropriate fashion.
2. Always smile and have a pleasant demeanor.
3. Follow all of Currito's brad standards for taking orders and directing customers.
4. Ensure all of our customers receive the best customer service possible.
5. Have an in-depth knowledge of the brand and menu. You must be able to answer customer's questions about both.
6. Count your cash at the beginning and end of every shift.
7. Take payment from all customers and have an even drawer at the end of each shift.
8. Be aware of all possible life and food safety hazards. Take all precautions necessary to ensure the staff and customer safety comes first.
9. Divisively and compassionately handle all customer issues and report them to the Manager on duty.
10. Keep your station clean and well organized during your shift.
11. Complete all duties assigned during your shift this includes but is not limited to prep and cleaning projects.
12. Help on the line, smoothie station, or on prep as needed.
13. Other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Keep the front of the house and the patio clean and clutter free for our customers. This includes clearing trays, wiping off tables sweeping, and taking out the trash.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
2. Knowledge of customer service.
3. Knowledge point of sale systems. This includes the ability to appropriately take payment..
4. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds required.
Uniform
All cashiers must wear a Currito shirt during their shift. They must wear either black dress pants or jeans. The pants must be in good condition with no tears, cuts, or holes. A general professional look is required with no more then one ring, and no large earrings.
Experience is a plus, but it is not necessary.
