Job Requirements:

The Hourly Assistant Manager is responsible for the overall coordination of the hourly staff members as well as store functionality during shifts in charge. They are the master in the art of organization. The Hourly Assistant Manager is a very important position, as it the stepping stone to becoming a salaried manager. While in this position, the Hourly Assistant Manager will gain an array of management experience in the areas of training, recruiting, paperwork, etc. The following is a guideline/job description that will ensure the success of the Hourly Assistant Manager.

 

HUMAN RESOURCES

  • Assist store manager with work schedules. Make recommendations regarding employment, promotion, and disciplinary action
  • Assist store manager in the continuous training of employees, cross training, on the job training and new hire training
  • Motivation of employees to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness for quality food service to the customer

 

CLEANLINESS/ SERVICE/ PRODUCT QUALITY

  • Ensure that all quality and health/ safety requirements are met in accordance with federal, state, & local standards as well as company standards
  • Assist the store managers in supervision of daily food preparation, administrative functions and ensuring that all positions are operational
  • Assist the store managers with all health and sanitation regulations and requirements. Make sure these rules and regulations are enforced and followed
  • Assist store managers with food regulations; make sure portion controls are followed
  • Supervise all employees in every phase of production and guest service

 

UNIT FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE & CONTROLS

  • Inform store managers of any equipment problems and make sure all maintenance and repairs are done on a timely basis to ensure proper daily operations
  • Assist with any cash handling procedures and bank deposits

 

PROFESSIONALISM & APPEARANCE

  • Be on time and in full uniform for every shift
  • Have a positive attitude and wear a smile!!! (it is part of your uniform)
  • Show respect and courtesy for fellow employees and guests
  • Accept constructive criticism from all levels of management and fellow co-workers- don’t take it personally
  • Maintain constant, consistent  communication between yourselves and management
  • Set high expectations for yourself and for the team. Do not compromise your standards and beliefs
