Beverly Fabrics has new opportunities for employment as a Puller/Packer.
Full time availability is required.
Candidates who desire a physical, fast-paced work environment handling mostly light to medium weight merchandise will work in our Watsonville Distribution Center. A person who accepts this position will fulfill orders by accurately pulling and packing warehouse merchandise within specified time frames. We will train for this position so no experience is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Accurately pull merchandise from shelves according to electronic instructions on laptop computer. Transfer merchandise to carts and transport to packing location.
Pack orders according to specified warehouse packing procedures to ensure shipment to the correct customers.
Use a pallet jack to move palletized orders from packing location onto a trailer.
Assist in keeping the warehouse clean and organized.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to take directions and follow through on instructions.
Ability to learn warehouse stocking procedures and inventory system.
Knowledge of basic math skills.
Ability to learn to operate a hand truck and manual pallet jack.
Ability to lift 20 to 30 pounds overhead throughout the shift as well as be on your feet all day.
Ability to speak, read and write English sufficient for reading content on labels, communication with supervisors and co-workers, researching inventory on computer and participating in meetings.
