Dishwashers at Universal Orlando are responsible for:
- Loading and emptying dish machine, washing pots, pans, cooking utensils and equipment by hand and assisting kitchen staff as needed.
- Removing waste, emptying and cleaning garbage receptacles, removing recyclable materials and placing in appropriate areas. Cleaning the kitchen by sweeping, mopping, washing kitchen walls, floors and floor mats. Performing closing duties in accordance to standard.
- Stocking all dishware and glassware as cleaned.
- Following MSDS standards, safety, and sanitation procedures.
- Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
To perform the role of a Dishwasher successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Consistent attendance and punctuality is required.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- A minimum of six months dishwashing experience preferred but not required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to speak and write simple correspondence in English.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of the Dishwasher job.
While performing the duties of this job, the individual is required to:
- Regularly (2/3 of the time or more) stand; walk; use hands and fingers to, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally (1/3 of the time or less) stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

While performing the duties of this job, the individual is required to:
- Regularly (2/3 of the time or more) be exposed to wet, humid conditions (non-weather).
