In our Dunkin locations, the store manager is responsible for the daily operations of their store. The multi-unit area Manager will oversee our 3 existing stores and new franchise locations to be determined. They must oversee and enforce compliance by the store manager with Dunkin Brand standards relating to guest services, sanitation, safety, employee training. The primary responsibility is to operate great restaurants through daily involvement.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to work various hours/shifts per week.
  • Franchisee Involvement mandatory
  • Executes appropriate sections of the organization’s Business Growth Plan (as directed by the franchisee)
  • Involvement with franchisee, other GM’s and DAC meetings (when deemed appropriate).
  • Utilize trend information to identify problems and create action plans.
  • Monthly meetings with each store for each new window and following through with manager/shift leader training; execution of new products and marketing programs from management to store level.
  • Responsible for enforcing progressive discipline guidelines and terminations
  • Monitoring crew turnover and forecasts staffing needs against sales, turnover and growth.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage the finances for their restaurants.
  • Mandatory attendance at webinars scheduled by corporate.
  • Conduct random morning, afternoon and evening store visits to ensure compliance with store policies and procedures.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works with franchisee on remodels and refurbishment plans to assure enabling Service The Dunkin Way criteria.
  • A restaurant averages 80% or better on operational assessments conducted by a corporate representative.
  • Follow-up on individual restaurants to see that preventative maintenance plans are followed.
  • Develops and executes a plan for timely completion of self-assessments in each store.
  • Uses systems identified in ROR (Red Book, line bar, guest counts, throwaways, DT timers) to drive long-term results
  • Take the proper steps to build sales and increase profitability.
  • Plans execution of new product initiatives and marketing programs
  • Measures and improves guest satisfaction in each restaurant.
  • Responsible for professional growth & development of managers and shift leaders.
  • Responsible for assessing all crew member performance.
  • Coach Restaurant Manager to ensure in restaurant opportunities are utilized, i.e., merchandising, suggestive selling, courtesy sampling.
  • Responsible for coordinating store meetings with respective managers to share best practices and drive store growth and performance.
  • Responsible for achieving management satisfactory and passing scores on all corporate store visits, RORs, Retail Food Safety & Sanitation Inspections and regulatory visits.
  • Responsible for creating store action plans to drive store performance around areas of opportunity

Job Specifications:

Knowledge, skills and abilities normally required for competent performance in the job.

  • 5+ years in a food service/retail environment
  • 5+ years in a management position
  • 2 or 4 year degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to work well with and manage others
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • General computer knowledge is the use of Microsoft Office, JDA BOS and NCR/Radiant.
