GENERAL PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:
A teammate in this position is responsible for partnering with DaVita practitioners and non-affiliated prescribers to obtain the various types of prescriptions that DaVita Rx patients depend on to sustain their way of life.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A teammate in this role will schedule outbound calls to obtain requested prescriptions. The types of prescriptions may include, but are not limited to:
· New prescriptions for recently enrolled patients
· New prescriptions for patients currently on DaVita Rx service
· Renewals for patients currently on service
· Therapeutic interchanges
· New prescriptions and renewals for Retention patients
· Gaps in Care
Teammates will also be responsible for:
· Provide status updates on active prescription requests
· Cross-train in other department responsibilities and workflows; support other departments in day to day functions, as needed
· Consistent, punctual attendance as scheduled is an essential responsibility to this role
· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to:
o Work overtime with little or no notice as needed
o Attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed
o Know, understand, and follow teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department or company procedures
SKILLS NEEDED
The Shining Star in this role should have:
· Customer-care attitude
· Excellent communication skills (listening, oral and written)
· Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Pharmacy Technician Certification; demonstrated/maintained good standing with State Board of Pharmacy
· Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
· Experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a mail order pharmacy preferred and/or experience in inbound/outbound call center preferred
· Typing speed of 40 wpm
· Basic computer skills and proficiency necessary for MS Word, Outlook and all DaVita Rx-specific software
