The Juniors Buying team is looking for an assistant buyer to help facilitate the every growing and changing department. We have some great exciting new growth opportunities and we need a creative and motivated hard worker that are looking to roll up their sleeves and be part of a growing company.

Responsibilities:

-Maximize sales results, margins and inventory for all managed categories

-Manage a multi-channel strategy for both online and brick and mortar.

-Analyze weekly sales results and create action plans to support them

-Identify new categories and vendors to further differentiate Zumiez from its competitors

-Build and maintain relationships with vendors to optimize product assortment and strategize exclusive offerings, terms, RTVs, pricing, etc.

-Manage store product levels and distribution of product

-Coordinate efforts with the retail team to maximize impact through store operations, merchandising and marketing

Requirements:

-Previous retail buying experience desired

-Retail management experience preferred

-A good understanding of products carried by Zumiez

-Strong understanding of business/retail math required

-A thorough understanding of Zumiez target customer

-Minimum of 2 years of college AA or BA preferred

-Ability to communicate, motivate and multi task

-Ability to work for a broad group of people

-Willingness to take on new challenges, learn new skills and produce results
