Aerotek CE is seeking a Transmission Application & Test Engineer for a company in Portland, OR. This is a 3 year contract.
Description:
Test execution - Develop and execute transmission tests required to reach mileage targets maintaining >80% vehicle availability throughout test.
Issue resolution - Responsible for hardware issue resolution and consequent documentation and reporting
Vehicle builds - Responsible for all transmission hardware installations/removals including work order generation and documentation in
Data analysis - Responsible for reducing data specific to transmission initiatives/tests for each application/truck configuration
Special tests - Facilitate special test requests from part changes to satellite vehicle testing
End-of-test reporting - Generate end-of-test reports for transmission collaborating with vehicle engineer
Documentation - Document transmission BOMs and maintain accuracy of transmission hardware.
Knowledge, skills, abilities, and education:
- 1-2 years of mechanical engineer experience (vehicle test experience preferred)
- Experience with reporting
- Automotive and/or trucking experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
