SLH-RN -ED/ICU Float - Full Time

Sutter Lakeside Hospital and Center for Health is a 25-bed critical access hospital serving the health care needs of residents of Lake County and its surrounding communities. Our beautifully landscaped campus houses medical-surgical beds, an intensive care unit and a new 29.000 square foot state-of-the-art emergency room and surgical center. Other specialized are services are offered through our Family Birth Center , Physical Therapy Center, and Family Medicine Clinic.

Provides indirect and direct care to patients ranging in age/developmental stages from infants (pediatrics) to geriatrics with the main focus on adults to geriatrics, in the Intensive Care Services unit using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to meet the psysiological, psychosocial, safety, learning, and self-care needs of patients and their families. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and California RN licence or interim permit to practice Registered Nursing. At least one year in an acute health care setting within the last year. Critical Care and/or ER experience preferred. Must demonstrate competency in critical care nursing and knowledge of cardiac arrhythmias. Working knowledge of critical care pharmacology. Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Must maintain valid CPR certification; current ACLS certification or enrollment in class within 6 months of hire. The ability to analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. The ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction and deal with abstract and concrete variables. Demonstrates the ability to operate basic office equipment, i.e. fax machine, computer, copier, etc. Demonstrates the ability to operate, analyze cardiac and invasive monitoring equipment.
